About Once Email
A focused, receive-only mailbox
Once Email provides temporary email addresses for receiving messages such as verification codes, test notifications and short-lived registrations. The service does not send, reply to or forward email.
The project is maintained as a small independent web service. Its purpose is to help people keep routine sign-ups and software testing separate from a long-term personal inbox.
What the service provides
- A temporary address that can receive email and may make accepted attachments available as forced downloads, subject to message and resource limits.
- A browser inbox for reading messages received by that address.
- The ability to replace or delete the temporary address.
- Browser-local tools for reviewing email headers, inspecting links and generating passwords.
- Automatic removal of temporary mailbox data after the selected lifetime, with a maximum displayed lifetime of one day.
Important limits
Temporary email is not suitable for banking, healthcare, government services, account recovery or any message that must remain available. Addresses and messages can expire, domains can change, and deleted data cannot be restored.
Security tools on this site explain technical clues; they do not certify that a message, link, attachment or account is safe. Attachment bytes are processed as needed for temporary receiving and download; Once Email does not preview or unpack files, inspect archive contents or send attachments to an online unpacking service. Once Email never asks users to bypass another service’s rules.
How we build and review features
New features are released only after functional, security, mobile, accessibility, internationalisation and production checks. Tool inputs remain in the browser, and advertising is prohibited in mailbox and tool work areas.
