## Install and use the Skill

The installer audits the directory, stages it atomically, and backs up an existing installation when --replace is used.

   Download the complete Skill ZIP and compare its SHA-256 below.

   Extract it to a temporary folder; keep the top-level folder named unpack-flow.

   Run the bundled install\_local.py with --replace. It creates a backup before replacing an older copy.

   Restart Codex, then ask naturally for an archive, folder, or batch to be unpacked.

Linux / macOS

Expected result: $CODEX\_HOME/skills/unpack-flow/SKILL.md exists together with scripts, references, assets, and tools.

## Safety defaults

Extraction writes files, so review the target and available disk space first.

- No automatic deletion of source archives
- No overwrite unless you explicitly choose it
- No execution of unknown self-extracting payloads
- Path and archive checks before website mirroring
- Fixed-version downloads with published digests

## Formats and runtime boundaries

ZIP, TAR families, 7z, RAR and other formats depend on the included or detected extractor for your platform. Password-protected archives require a password you are authorized to use. UnpackFlow does not bypass DRM, passwords, operating-system warnings, or access controls.

## A live GitHub-backed download

GitHub Releases is the only version source. The website checks stable releases on a schedule, rejects unsupported major versions, downgrades, missing assets, checksum failures, unsafe archive paths, and same-tag digest changes, then atomically promotes the verified local mirror.
